   Where do I even start!Training with Conny has been one of the most wonderful experiences of my life.I have been going to gym for many years, but have never pushed myself, never tried new things and haven't seen results. A few years ago I couldn't help but notice this magnificent, strong woman in the gym.It has taken me time to pluck up the courage to ask her to please train me.But I am so glad I did!The experience has been life changing and so inspirational!I l absolutely love every second of training with Conny.She is a consumate professional, is an absolute wealth of knowledge from diet, to nutrition, to health, to muscle groups, the list is endless.I never stop learning with Conny and she so selflessly shares her knowledge, experience and best practises.Her training sessions are designed to suit a person's individual goals and aspirations.Since training with Conny my strength has increased substantially, my body is starting to change and my self - esteem and confidence in the gym has reached levels I could only have dreamed of.None of this would have been possible without Conny by my side whispering "you can do it"!I will be forever indebted to this wonderful woman, who epitomizes everything that the health and fitness industry should represent.

   I am currently training with Conny and have lost 5% body fat during 6 weeks of intense training thus far. Conny will definitely help you reach your goals and she keeps you motivated. She is so driven and has such a passion for what she does....I would recommend her over over again!

During my 45 years, I did not struggle with weight or weight gain.  Growing up and spending 38 years on a farm was sufficient activity and exercise to keep the bulges off.


I did participate in cycling events during the years of 1996 – 1999.  My bicycle was hung up in the garage after a horrid cycling accident where I was injured, and the fears of being with so many people was too much for me to continue.  But I did many events around East London, Port Elizabeth, Garden Route and as far as the Argus in Cape Town.


Through Discovery, I’ve been a gym member for more than 20 years but had a dislike for the gym environment, so my “gym” was swiping my gym card to maintain my membership.
 
After my hysterectomy in 2007, I joined Power Plate, exercising on a daily basis until they shut their doors in 2011.  So for 4 years I really had to watch whatever I ate, but things got way out of hand once my children finished with schooling.
 
My children matriculated 2012 and 2014, after which the kg’s started packing on and my normal way of life, activity and eating was not helping at all.  My normal activity was stepping it out in the shopping malls. I didn’t like the gym environment at all.  I hated it in actual fact. 
 
After almost gaining 7kg’s from January to August 2015, I felt disgusting.  My clothes were bigger than ever, and I was wearing a Woolworths corset to pull and suck in the rolls and bumps.  It was uncomfortable and in summer no joke.  I hopped into my car at the end of August to swipe my gym card, walked into Virgin Active, and asked to speak to a personal trainer.
 
Conny Clarence was on the floor training another client.  And she was the one.  I took 10 minutes chatting with her, and began training the following day.
 
It’s been 5 months of 3 hours per week, and I can say that I am happy with my body.  For the first time in many years.  Losing the kg’s, strengthening, and toning and now I am back in my dresses, and smaller.
 
Conny is inspiring and listens to the needs and concerns of her clients.  She understood immediately what it was that I was aiming to achieve.  I feel good.  Great in actual fact!  My dislike of the gym she took into account, and makes sure the equipment is always clean and workable.  Training with Conny has given me a completely different outlook on gym and training.  I even now go on the weekend by myself. 


I invested in a FITBIT.  And that has encouraged me to reach even further.  Keeping up with the targets which Discovery Health has set for me.  It feels incredibly good to be here.

Just because I am at the point I would like to be, does not mean I will stop training with Conny.  She is my trainer…but also my gym buddy.  Without her, I would not have achieved my goal.  I am aspiring though for more.
 
I would sincerely recommend Conny.  Although she “kills” me to a point – it’s so worth it.  Thanks Conny.

It was my Life Coach, Miles Harrop, who suggested that I start training with Conny Clarence. He highly recommended her for her fast knowledge in fitness and training and her lovely nature. At the time I met Conny I was in the middle of a personal transformation 30kg down and 30kg more to go.


I had never trained before. I did a little bit of sport at school but wasn’t very good at it. I still clearly remember how daunting the thought of going to the gym was for me. 


I had no idea where to start, no confidence and almost no muscle tone.


My training began two weeks after my first assessment with Conny and for the last seven months I’ve been training with Conny. We train most weeks six days per week. 


Since the first training session I felt empowered, and nothing in the gym was a threat to me anymore with Conny around.  She safeguarded me mentally from my own limitating thoughts of what I could achieve, as well as guiding me with exercises to build instead of harming my body.


Conny’s life style is contagious; soon her healthy eating habits became my healthy eating habits. She is a gentle spirit and motivated me to overcome my own obstacles. She taught me how to be kind to my body. To be naturally healthy and fit.


 In every movement, every repetition she was and is there for me. What she has imparted into me by training with me will form the base / foundation for many years of training to follow.


A personal highlight for me was at the end of December 2015 when after six months of training I managed to do a hand-stand a personal goal that I have set for myself. A goal at starting weight of 127kg I never thought possible.


I would love to encourage every person who struggle with weight management, or who wants to develop themselves further to start a training program with Conny Clarence.  With the 55kg total weight loss that I experienced, none of my efforts would of been fruitful without the well thought over and careful planning of Conny Clarence. 


I trust Conny so much that I’ve even booked sessions with Conny for my 5 year old girl India.  It was soon evident that Conny did not only have the ability to change my life by empowering me to use and move my body, but also changed the life of my precious child.

I decided to enter the IFBB fitness Competition in 2016 and realized that I can’t do it alone. I needed help and fast! I saw Conny Clarence in the gym one day looking fabulous, abs and all!! So I decided she’s the one! Phoned the next day and booked my sessions with her.

Conny’s definition of her body says a lot about how she trains, so that for me alone was enough to choose her. She is also very passionate about her clients.  Her level of commitment goes way beyond a Personal Trainer.  You can see she loves her job!
 
My body is now actually leaner and fitter than before.  Conny has help to achieve a whole other level of fitness!
 
My legs and my abs, my legs have more definition especially my upper legs. My abs are actually starting making appearance which is very hard for me as my tummy are mostly bloated as I suffer from IBS. My lifestyle has change in such a way that I think before I eat something, will my body benefit from it is it clean and healthy, if not then I leave it.


You pushed me and challenged me to achieve much more than I could ever imagine.
 
I have lost 3.6kg in first month I have started and the definition on my legs started showing just after 2 weeks. 
 
I learned so much in the 6 months of training that when I train alone I can use the correct methods when using the equipment. I can use new movements in my own sessions which makes my training so much interesting.
 
I will recommend Conny to everyone.  With her you definitely can’t go wrong. As I have benefitted and learned a lot from her in the few months and my body is showing the results and I have much more confidence than I used too.
